Description

The Marketing Intern is accountable for executing marketing initiatives at the ministry and hospital level, and serves on the regional strategic marketing team. The Marketing Intern will partner with members of the Internal Communications Team, Media Relations Team, Strategic Marketing Team, and Events Team to ensure timely and complete execution of marketing initiatives. The Marketing Intern will provide outstanding customer service, be an enthusiastic professional, and be able to build relationships with internal and external constituents.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Current student working towards a bachelor's degree from four-year college or university, with focus on marketing, advertising, corporate communications, public relations, journalism or other communications disciplines.

 

Available a minimum of 12 hours per week throughout the semester.

 

Completion of the following four independent study courses: Introduction to Incident Command System for Health Care/Hospitals (ICS-100); ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents (ICS-200); National Incident Management Systems, An Introduction (IS-700); and National Response Frameworks, An Introduction (IS-800).

 

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

  

Strong oral and written communication skills.

 

Organized, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments.

 

Ability to work well under pressure and to manage multiple projects at once.

 

Must be flexible and adaptable to unexpected changes.

 

Previous work experience demonstrating strong work ethic, ability to be a self-starter, proactive approach to relationship management, and ability to communicate complex issues to employees.

 

This includes other internships, extracurricular activities, and community volunteerism.

 

Interpersonal skills necessary in order to interact effectively with media representatives when information is requested, representatives from various companies/agencies, the general public and hospital employees.
