Description

Reporting to the Manager of Ambulatory Nursing Care Services and overseen by the Manager Adult Day Services in accordance to the LPN Scope of Practice, Standards for Professional Conducts for LPN’s, department policies, and physician directives provides professional nursing care services under the supervision of a registered nurse and/or provider in routine patient care activities during Senior World program hours. Works as a part of the healthcare team to assess patient needs, plan and modify care, and implement interventions. This includes administering medications, giving treatments, observing patients and recording and reporting pertinent information, assisting patients with activities of daily living, dressing changes, basic respiratory therapy and communicating with other patient care team members to ensure continuity of care. In doing so, demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate to the ages of the patients served. The following are general characteristics of this job, although duties may vary by assigned shift.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Graduate of an accredited LPN Program. 

 

Current licensure by the State Board of Nursing in appropriate state (Illinois or Michigan)

 

American Heart Association (BLS for Health Care Providers)

 

Electronic Medical Record and Microsoft application basic proficiency

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

6 months of professional nursing experience in a clinical Health Care environment
