Description

Responsible for using current technology to design and develop educational materials, provide training sessions, and deliver presentations related to a broad range of activities to support a blended learning environment for OSF employees. Participates in the development and implementation of an on-going curriculum in the areas of new employee orientation, clinical skills programing, annual mandatories, and other strategic training initiatives. Provides Ministry-wide learning management system support. Facilitates use of educational technology by providing technical support, maintenance, creation, and administration of learning platforms, portals, and/or additional education-based technology.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Associates Degree in Education, Healthcare Information Systems or closely related field

 

Certificate in Instructional technology


Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Education or Healthcare Information Systems

 

2 years’ experience with information technology/clinical systems to understand the clinical impact of IT, technical terminology, and familiarity with Health Information Systems

 

1 year teaching/training experience to acquire presentation and teaching skills, understand education modalities, needs assessments, and evaluation tools


BLS Instructor

 

Must have own transportation and a valid driver’s license; Must be able to travel to all regions that OSF serves


Requires strong analytical and trouble-shooting skills and the ability to perform in a fast paced, detail oriented environment

 

Must be able to use common technology tools including Adobe Flash Professional, Microsoft, Camtasia, Lectora, etc. to develop instructional tools to meet the needs of diverse learners 

 

Must have a working knowledge of HTML 

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Bachelor’s Degree

 

Healthcare (ambulatory environment)

 

BLS Instructor-Trainer

 

Demonstrates competency in clinical skills utilized within a medical office (such as, basic medical terminology, phlebotomy, rooming, waived labs).
