DescriptionThis position is responsible for supervising, directing and scheduling the personnel within OSFMG offices with at least 1 provider and 3 or more staff FTE's. In conjunction with the Site Manager, Lead Physician(s), Coordinators(s) and/or lead people, evaluates the overall performance of individuals towards the delivery of high quality medical care and effective business operations. Works towards the smooth integration of functions of the front desk staff, the clinical staff, and the ancillary staff to assure coordination of efforts and maximum productivity. Responsible for recommending, implementing and administering budgets, policies and procedures for the practices. Maintains cooperative working relationships with physicians, mid-level providers, OSFMG Coordinators, Medical Center personnel, other OSF entities, and external agencies and organizations. May partner with assigned Site Supervisor to ensure clinical/clerical oversight is achieved. Depending on the site, may also have building management.
This requires that the incumbent demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development as well as the physical, emotional, and psycho-social needs of the patient population served.
Approximately 3-5 years physician practice or ambulatory care experience with progressively more responsibility-related work experience.
Experience in administering budgets, policies and procedures, and in supervising business and clinical functions of a medical office/clinic.
Interpersonal skills necessary in order to provide effective leadership to assigned personnel, and maintain cooperative working relationships with physicians, Medical Center personnel, and external agencies and organizations.
Analytical skills necessary in order to organize schedules, monitor site activities, implement effective clinical care procedures, and identify and resolve clinical, administrative and patient care problems.
